Dear Boardwalk Families,
What an amazing first week we have had at the Boardwalk Lower School! Students have been making new connections with classmates and staff, learning and practicing school and classroom routines, and getting used to being back at school. We all anticipated what the beginning of the year might be like, and our students and teachers have knocked it out of the park!
A big thank-you to our families for preparing your children to attend the Boardwalk Lower School, to our staff for bringing all of our plans to life, and most importantly, to our students, who have done an outstanding job. We are so proud of them!
Please remember that there is no school on Friday or Monday. We look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday. I hope you have an opportunity to rest—I know many of us will be taking a long nap this weekend!
Back to School Night: Thursday, September 10

When: 6:00–7:00 PM. Feel free to arrive anytime between 6:00 and 6:45 PM and tour the school at your own pace. The evening will conclude at 7:00 PM.

Student-Led Tours: This evening is all about connecting with your child in their learning environment. Students are working with their teachers to become tour guides! Please let your child take the lead and be sure to visit all of their classrooms.

Family Attendance: Siblings are very welcome to attend. We ask that families remain together as a group throughout the tour.

Format: The evening is designed to be a friendly meet-and-greet and student-led tour rather than an individual parent conference. If you would like to discuss your child’s individual progress, please contact their classroom teacher directly by email.

Parking: Families are welcome to park in either the Spruce Street or Elm Street lot.

Family Conferences
We will be hosting family conferences starting in Early October until the beginning of November. I will share more information as we get closer to the date.
Arrival Reminders
Please stay in your vehicle to ensure a smooth drop off.
Please do not pass another vehicle. You may move forward once a staff member waves you forward, or the car in front of you moves.
Dismissal Update
In addition to having you family number, please display your student's first and last name along with their grade level for parent pick up.
